Hi, I'm Luca Vaudano. I'm a cybersecurity analyst based in Turin, Italy. I hold a BSc in Computer Science (University of Turin) and an MSc in Cybersecurity (University of Milan).
I like solving problems with computers. This blog is where I share my explorations in cybersecurity and machine learning, writing is how I connect ideas across the two fields, and how I get a little better at defending systems.
You'll find posts on threat hunting, detection engineering, cyber threat intelligence, and experiments at the crossroads of AI and security.
Some things I've written and built
- gpu-sentinel — reproducing the NVIDIAScape (CVE-2025-23266) class of container escape from scratch, without a GPU, and building a Falco/Sigma detection pack around it. Writeup · Code
- Notes on the security of LLMs — what I took away from Nicholas Carlini's lecture on adversarial attacks against language models. Read
- Cyber Threat Hunting Series — wrote multiple pieces related to this book you can find starting from here
